Dear Friends of Music in Our Schools,
Since Dr. Keith Rushing became the band director
several years ago the band has steadily increased in both members and
enthusiasm.
Although most band members rent or buy their
instruments, some students need to use instruments provided by the
school. There is currently a waiting list of students who would like to
be in the band if more instruments would become available.
To enable more aspiring young musicians to experience playing in
the band, we have established a
band instrument fund at the
Hillsdale County Community Foundation to receive your tax-deductible
donation for this purpose.
Your donation will be disbursed
to the
Hillsdale Community Schools, earmarked for the high school band and
specifically for instrument purchases and repairs.
In the
video near the bottom of this page Dr. Rushing shares more information about this need.
For more information about the Band Instrument Fund I invite you to contact the Hillsdale County Community Foundation or contact me
directly by email or telephone.
Thank you for giving the gift of
music,
